I'd say 2.25". Why? You don't have to worry about too much backpressure with an N/A (which some people say you can't have too much), and two, you will still have a noticeable gain in low as well as top end.

2.25 or smaller. 2 inch is more than enough for a stock 7afe. 2.25 is getting a little large, and anything bigger is too much and will degrade performance. too large a pipe without the flow to fill it degrades the scavenging effect of your exhaust system, literally causing the gasses to back up in the pipe as they cool and slow down at lower engine speeds. in extreme cases this can cause a noticeable lack of low rpm power and even hesitation.

You will be fine as long as you aren't getting a three inch or anything. To be honest, almost any size will technically work.
My rule is stay with 2.5" or below if your car is N/A. |
