Most everything I've done is wet layup all "brush" work.
That CF deck lid for the 6th gen coupe was the first piece i ever did. The work was ok. I could do it much better now. I have a rear diffuser for a E46 3-series on my desk right now that needs to be finished for the weekend so pics of that will be up soon. and i keep promising 6gc door work, but I haven't had a lot of time so maybe if i'm lucky this weekend i'll get some work done. I have ventured into some minor bag work though. |

I gotta make a fiberglass one first to see if i can do it.
a CF hood would be very expensive. the cost wouldn't justify your use. If you want you could wrap part/all of your OEM hood, if there is a CF sheet large enough |

^x2
You can get a 4'2" (about) x W/e yardage you wanna buy from here http://www.fibreglast.com/showproducts-cat...20Tapes-15.html That'd be close, but maybe a 50" and 2 yards long would handle the job. Maybe. I've never measured our hoods. 3K, 2 x 2 Twill Weave Carbon Fiber Fabric is what you want This post has been edited by D-Man: Aug 27, 2008 - 1:04 PM -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! and forgot to mention. The front fenders/wings are made of 2 ply fibreglass and are ultra light weight yet when seeing it in real life you couldn't tell the difference.

You think so? Here in the UK, buying new fenders aren't cheap and most people buy second hand ones which aren't always perfect. We did offer to make FRP ones like these which are about half the weight but there was very interest. Was going to offer them here in the 6G forum but shipping is often expensive outside Europe. Mirrors are ARP not produced by us. This post has been edited by yellowchinaman: Mar 11, 2011 - 4:33 AM |
