they are the same kit. Veilside is more expensive cuz it is from japan and everything is expensive there, and I heard (so don't quote me on this) that the veilside kit is made of carbon fiber and the erebuni/shogun kit is made of 7 layer fiberglass. By the way are you looking to buy a kit? Cuz I got a brand new one for sale. I bought the shogun kit then my two sisters and mom got me the veilside kit for my 21st birthday. I sell it for a lot less than I bought it (shogun) for a lot less than I got it for. It has the front bumper, rear bumper, 2 side skirts, and rear wing. It is primered ready for paint. PM Me if you are interested.

Generally, anything from Veilside is pretty pricey, because they've got a reputation for some excellent quality, original products. The Veilside kit will definitely fit a lot better than the Shogun kit(whether it's from VIS or Erebuni), and chances are that it will have less flaws when it comes to you. Both kits are made out of fiberglass and both look exactly the same however. Hope this helps. smile.gif

That is freaky. wink.gif I don't think that the 6th generation Celica kit by Veilside is made of carbon fiber. I know that some of Veilside's kits are made of a combination of fiberglass and carbon fiber though, such as their kit for the RSX, which has a couple spots where you can see the carbon fiber. I think their kit for the sixth generation Celica is all fiberglass though.

Since both kits are made of fiberglass(I think - Not completely 100% positive however wink.gif), they'd both break just as easily. The Veilside one will just cost less to put on and paint because the body shop won't have to fix any flaws or modify the kit so that it fits right. Also, carbon fiber is generally very strong, very light, and very expensive when compared to fiberglass.

i would guess that carbon fiber is less resistant to crack and maybe chips. It also weighs less. And Coomer, these may be even freakier but I think that it was you who said the thing about it being made of carbon fiber. I'll go check the different forums and get back to you on this.

I think I did actually say that a while ago, because I originally read that somewhere, but then I read something saying that only some of Veilside's kits were made with a mix of fiberglass and carbon fiber, and I saw a photo of an RSX with a few black spots which are actually carbon fiber. Since their kit for the sixth generation Celica doesn't have any of these black areas, I assumed that there is no carbon fiber in the body kit for the sixth generation Celica.

Here's a pic of Veilside's RSX kit with the carbon fiber areas:

I actually love those rims! wink.gif In my opinion, they look even better when they're wider, so they've got a deeper dish in them. I like that car a lot too, and I'd probably sell it to fund a 4A-GZE or 3S-GTE swap(With that kind of money, either could be done.) smile.gif

also the veilside kit is comes with stickers so everyone who has seen fast and the furious will be drooling when they see your car. And ALL the pieces are stamped with the veilside logo. I got that kit for a present this year and I only had it on for like a month then I took it off for winter and it fit really good. I had one of my friends paint it for me and I put it on myself. Oh, and the best paint to use is DuPont. Also there clear coat too. No bugs. And if there is bugs the just wipe off if you spray some water on it and use a sponge or paper towel.
