Somewhere off 84 and 205, I have to get the address. I am going to try to get my project done before noon.
I would like to go to the old highway the view point out towards Corbett for some pics, but I am open to suggestions.

Crap - I just remembered that I'm leaving to go camping on Friday. I'm bummed, I would've liked to have met up. I still think we should plan a Gorge meet before the rain comes back though!

We can meet somewhere big and local in portland and get some food, then go take i-84 out to corbett, go to crown point(aka the vista house) and take the old high way all the way to multnomah falls...

Sorry for the slow response, my internet has been down. I am going down Friday,
Crown point yes that is the name I could not remember. I was just informed today
I might have to pick up some parts for the shop, if so I will be driving the company truck.
I should know tomorrow if the parts will be ready, if not I would love to get some shots at crown point.
I would like to stay until sat but I have to find out about the parts before I can decide.

Lets not for get about the possible mini meet this weekend... I am still down for that

I'd say for september we should go on Sept 19th. That should be enough time for everyone to get things in order... If this date/meet picks someone should make a NEW thread for it... IMO

How does a drive up to vista, then through the old high way out to multnomah falls.... then depending on time/energy/desire, we could drive back into portland and go to Rocky Butte, as it is also really really nice:)

I'd like to see what 97lest has to say, it'd be great to get some WA people down for it. IIRC originally he had mentioned a while back about a meet in Maryhill, I'd be game for that too if that's a bit more realistic for some WA folks to show up to it. I just know two things: I am NOT driving up to Tacoma this time, and I am NOT going to another damn Hooters for a meet!

As far as I know I am still coming down, I heard some grumbling from the boss about
meeting a deadline on a scanner were are working on but it is almost done just a few more
parts to make. I am 90% sure I will be down Friday in the celica.


I do like the idea of a Maryhill meet, by Biggs OR. The deshutes state park (about 8 miles from maryhill)
has camping, and the river should be full of fall run salmon by mid sept.

I dont see why that would be a problem...

Bridge of the gods is a pretty drive for sure, but i think it's farther away for people from seattle though cause they'd have to take i-5 to i84 the all they way out there... ?
just a thought.

Anytime something is happening around vancouver/portland I am down just please send me a pm a place and a time and I will try to wiggle my way out of working but like i have posted my car is not quite done *sigh* broken winshield and craigslist rims and tires atm but IDK just like to drive and meet some other 6gc's. Let me know where this thread goes and i will do my best to be there!!!

Probablly meet up around lunch time, depending on how far we want to drive depends on how long we will be gone... aka just crown point/aka/vista house=2hr, add the falls to that and we are looking at 3hours min...

I officially suck I scrapped the parts I was working on today
and have to make them over. 10% is about double my scrap rate so,
I am not in a very good mood right now. I definatly want to meet up in sept
sometime I apologize, I was really needing a day off and was looking forward to this,
but I won't be down.
