Can somebody please tell me what the best Ignition wires out there are? I noticed Nology is like $163 but accel is almost 100 dollars cheaper. Thanks!

to my knowledge Magnacor is the best wire out there. some people argue that Nology is better, but i'm pretty sure Magnacor beats em out overall. get some fatty ones, like 10 mm or 8.5mm. magnacor 10 mm should be the best ones out there. im not really a wire expert tho seeing that they dont really do much unless u got a bunch of other mods.

I run NGK wires. They're like $60 and they're all you need for an NA celi.

basically, for an NA celica, any new plug wires, even factory wire, will be good.

absolutely nothing that a brand new set of (factory) wires would do... |

lol Ray. Now if you combined the Magnecore's with an MSD 6A box, and a bigger coil, some Iridium's, and throw in an AFC for good measure, you might notice a difference on the dyno.
MSD actually recommends you DON'T use anything skinnier than 7mm with their boxes. |

I too will have to disagree... For the minimal gains of maybe 0.5 hp throughout the powerband... It's not worth it unless you're going forced induction. Upgraded ignition systems DO NOT add hp... they provide for better power delivery... and as far as any N/A motor goes...it's not gonna make a huge difference, regardless if you're running a fully built all motor AFC tuned engine. I know...cause I've personally tested myself... if only I can find my old dyno sheets. Here's the jist of it... upgraded ignition will help, only when you're getting in a lot more fuel and air... the only way to get more fuel is to get more air...to get more air, is to go forced induction. It's really the only serious reason for having a very nice ignition set-up... and fuel set-up... IF you have a n/a 1.8 liter or 2.2 liter 4 banger... it's not gonna be some sort of power mod... so I'd say... save your few hundred dollars for something more useful... |

Ja, that's why I said "might" and only on the dyno.
