I own a 94 ST hatchback that pretty well kept clean that has 110,000 miles. I got this car cause my brother crashed into bushes at night time after it had rained. His front brakes locked up and he messed up the front bumper while he wasnt even supposed to be driving. And if that didnt happen i wouldn't even have this car that was pretty much a gift from my parents for free. Anyways, i want to get an idea of how much money you guys have put into your Celica's I have put about $4,500 so far and plan to spend another $1,000 on rims and tires with installation. All my mods are listed on my profile so u guys get an idea of what i have anyways thanks and hoping to look forward to see how much u've put into your Cars. Celica's RULE!!!!

that thread is old though, I bet a lot of people have dropped more by now wink.gif

Personally I have put like $300 in it kindasad.gif
I am ultra poor and I wish I could save some money for it but I need to pay for school aswell. Luckily though, I don't drive it to school and back so it will hopefully stay in okay condition since it doesn't get abused daily.

I have a question. How much of this is going to labour/installation or is everyone a DIYer?

I put some money in and got some sweet deals. I would say about roughly $1700 so far.

$100ish for front rotors, pads, caliper paint, brake fluid
$135 installed for rebuilt starter
$215 for rear struts and TRD springs
$130 for SWEET A$$ all-weather European dealer option floor mats
40ish hrs of design work for powder coated under-hood bling
5 hrs of design work for window tinting
$50 for used Injen intake
$200 for manual to power window conversion that will some day be completed

Total: $1035 + about 85 hours of design trade to date since July 2007

Up and coming:
New tires: budgeting for $600 out the door (fingers crossed!)

Edit: Installation on everything was done/will be done by myself except for the starter, tires and window tinting

Wow, that's a lot. I really love my car and am hoping to have a VERY long and fruitful relationship with it, but I just can't see putting 30k into it. I could see putting 10k into it pretty easily, but 30k? I hope that's because the dollar is so low and that's just the conversion rate! LOL

Roughly 13,000 but that does not mean all the parts are on my car, price could even be over that for things which I obviously can't account for or price it out.

Out of the $30k, like $900 was labour for mapping, the rest is all parts (I'm a mechanic so do all of my own work)
Im not finished yet though so I could probably see that number doubling kindasad.gif if I ever sell the car (unlikely) therell be one hell of a part out sale wink.gif

Let's see...nothing?

It all depends on how long I keep this thing, and on one side, I hope I do, but on the other, I also don't want to run into age-related problems later on down the road.

But the idea of my car with some sweet 17"s, maybe a spoiler or two, and a couple performance mods would be sick...then again, I sort of have a problem with making an auto fast.
