Hey guys. i was watchin the news today. seem like texas got pretty beat up from Ike. I saw a black 6gc and i beleive an orange one. I just wanted to know if you guys are doin ok or if anyone knows how the houston crew is doin since they have no power.

Well, I'm doing great. Got in from College Station about an hour ago. Wanted to stay up there for another day since school/work doesn't start for me till Wednesday, but someone wanted me home. Bleh. All we got up there was wind and sideways rain. It rained for a good part of Saturday. Cleared up yesterday and the weather today was oh so orgasmic. High of 75-ish* with cloud cover after 3 months of 90*+ highs. Weather for the rest of the week for southeast Texas should be pretty peachy with a high of around 80*.

A big chunk of Northwest Houston (Cypress, Champions Forest, etc)is still without power. A couple of gas stations are trying to gouge customers at $4/gal for regular 87 octane. Once reported in, those profits they made and then some will go towards a fine that they'll be receiving from the government. A lot of fallen trees here and there. People are lined up an waiting around gas stations and fast food restaurants that may have anything left to offer. Pretty empty out there on the roads. Cops are out and about pretty hardcore. Luckily my apt complex has clean, running water, and electricity. My gf's parents should be getting their power back by the end of the week even though they're only about 2 miles down the street from me. So yeah, north side is in pretty good condition. I heard the south side of town is pretty fcuked up though.

Last time I heard from Death was when he sent me a text message early Saturday morning say, "WHOO HOOO! EYE OF THE STORM!" and D-man's been calling me and checking up with things (appreciate it). I'm not sure about everyone else though. :\ 2 million+ people are still without power and some with running water.

Galveston got pretty raped and torn up. I don't really feel all that bad for those that decided to stay and later regretted it.

Galveston (the beach area) Was raped hard... And some folks though it wise to hang out there... mostly surfers and people with intentions of looting. (BTW i believe the "Looter death toll" is up to 12 now Stupid looters ) South Houston was banged pretty hard, but Havoc and Panda are cool. I've been on the phone with panda, and havoc was wailing around in the back ground. Sounded like he was beating a cat with a guitar or something

I haven't gotten ahold of death sense that infamous message. I'm gunna drop by his house today. (i've got nothing better to do) I got several other messages from him the day before... One about his portch being wet. Haha! Ya'll dont worry about him though, He's in a second story apartment. (unless he gets water damage to his celica, he may shoot himself ) lol, just playin

My shop finaly got power, so my 5 day weekend is over. And about time too, I have no money and no beer Enough food to last till payday though. But beer and smokes are NECIESITY arround my place.

Alex has been my amusement. Although he refuses to blow the rest of his gas on coming over to my house to bring me zip ties so i can work on my bumper LOL!! J/P dude!!

02'Bluerolla's shop seems to be in order, i drove by a few times this week, i saw him throwing a bunch of branches in the street. Or maybe one of his brothers... IDK for sure, i didn't have time to stop and chat; i was following my boss to one of his properties.

We've mostly got LONG lines heading into gas stations (fuel-efficient celica is FTW!!) and fast food joints. Beer is scarce... So are smokes... not cool. not fcuking cool at all. (i knew i should have bought 2 cartons ) w/e.

But power is being restored, and shipments are getting in. It only gets better from here.

I texted with him on Tuesday a bit, still no power but he had just gotten the cell recharged. My guess is the cell is off to conserve battery power in case they actually need the phone for a valid reason other than us harassing them They were doing okay though, I know he gassed up Friday before Ike hit and they were okay on food.

The Hurricane, as I predicted, was a punk by the time it got to the NW side of Houston but man it did some damage downtown and especially on the SE side of town down towards the water.
I still have no lights at the house [Just got them back here at work so I'll be on but somewhat scarce since I have a whole week to make up for] .
Thanks to everyone who PMd, Texted, E-mailed etc to show concern - I will be getting back to everyone slowly over the course of the day.
Griffgirl had it right - I had to make one old cellphone battery charge last all week so I was only using it when absolutely necessary and it stayed off the remainder of the time.
Saw Alex last night so he's cool.

Just checkin in ya'll - thanks for caring. OH Yeah and the GT2 is quite fine snugly rested protected from the elements in the garage with the front lifted and the battery disconnected [Completely unnecessary as I predicted]. The LS took a few hits from the millions of flying shingles that were the biggest danger where I was [Looked like a ninja cartoon out there]. That thing is a tank - can't even see where it may have scratched the paint.
Oh yeah and I almost got arrested two nights ago on a curfew violation - they are VERY serious about that BS - Sounds a bit Hitlirian to most sane individuals.

hey everyone. My house just got power back like yesterday. We have been staying with Panda cuz he got power back on Sat after the storm. Lucky for me and the Fam, cuz we ran to Brenum to stay with the wifes Aunt. Im never going to go anywhere she says we should go again. It was really bad, her Aunt and Uncle are not good people. Im not going to give a full out line of the time, but i would have rather sat in galveston beach somewhere and challanged Ike to a dual then to have gone up there. Not kidding. they wanted us to keep my child locked up in a room the whole time we were there, because they didnt like that she made a lot of noise, they thought she was going to break something(and when we told them we would move anything that she could get to away and put it back when we leave they told us not to touch their things), and every day they asked if we were leaving cuz they didnt want us there anymore and that we should leave the first day we could. FCUK those people! But we didnt have to stay long and panda was awesome and let us stay with him till we got power back on. But my wifes mother lives in galveston, and has had to stay up there with those nasty Fcukin people. Shes going to get to come back this Wed though so in the end we all ended up ok. My house though looked bad though. LOTS of WHOLE trees down. And somehow not one his the house or any of the cars that were there. again, VERY LUCKY. But we are good and i just wanted to let everyone know that me and panda made it though ok.

That's gay... Yeah, i called panda the day after the storm (i didn't have your number on hand, Panda's is in my phone from a long time ago)... I invited any of yous guys to my house. As we only lost power for a few hours. lol. But it was nice 'twards katy. Except for a big drive, ya'll would have been comfy on a full; spare bedroom mattress, Not to mention the gigantic TV and plenty of baby space. (lol, my house IS a baby-space ) Especialy with My little one getting her crawl goin', My only rule is to keep power cords out of the mouth. I wonder why Not to mention while everyone was working cutting up trees and what-not (seeing as i live in an appt, and cant do that) It was body-work-city in my garage Well... It was also drunken city too All my neighboors just stood out and bbq'd and drank. Plus, our stores closed for only most of one day. Meanwhile, the gasstation never stoped selling over-night.

But I still cant get that stock wheel off... Ya know with all the breaking and removing of things that ike did, he could have atleast pulled my stock-y wheel off for my 3 post swap... Bastard Stupid hurricane...

i feel yah man. Over the weekend me and panda realized that we didnt have to work from Fri to Mon. So panda looks up at me and says, "dont we have some work to do to our cars?" lol i said "sure do" and that was the weekend. His Driver side Axle gave us some REAL trouble. we couldnt get it out of the tranny. We even called Death and he gave us some good ideas (thanks for the help man) it got down to removing the other axle and trying to hit the back of the axle with a LONG screw driver (by the way, make sure you dont hit that little rode that is in the middle of the two axles, its very bad) but we ended up not having to do that cuz we also found a small scrowbar, and before trying it the (could fcuk **** up way) i tryed that to pop it out and it worked! We also did my springs, shocks,and motor mount. All went well but i striped the rear Stabilizer bar link. (Alen and nut combo, worst disign ever) So i had a small heart attack trying to find that part on a Sunday. Luckly my parts car guy still had that Celi me, Death and Panda striped and he had the Bar link i was looking for. he was also selling the car that day so no more parts car

But all and all it was fix the celis weekend and they both came out great! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW

yah it sucked. But it could have been a lot worse so i real cant complain. This is the second time ive Evact for a Hurrican. First one was Rita, went to Austin partied, friend went to jail, girlfriend cheated on me. This time for Ike, Found out im allergic to cat hair, Nasty fam members made me keep my 2 year old daughter locked up, Mother in law was a b!tch,

Both times.......my house was not even touched.....Lesson learned.....Next time......IM STAYING HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's good to hear you all faired well. I just closed on my house two weeks ago, lost power for a week the thursday b4 ike hit the outlaws had 2 pallets of sod in my front yard waiting what tyiming. I liveright at beltway8 and 90 on easstside my lil tree fell over but nothing else. It was a blessing cause it coulda been worse. I tell you what if I don't eat barbque for a whole year I wont be made lol. Sad thing is I have a blown head gasket and possibly a warped head well more than likely so The Grey ghost is in my garage and I miss it so much. I've been driving my father in laws pick up what fun it is. I need my celi back. I am glad once again all is present and accounted for.
