Anyone else have other projects going?
When I'm not working on the Celica, I'm working on an 89 Nissan Sentra Sport Coupe.
Picked her up for $500. She runs like new but needs some help in the power department.
I decided to work on the exterior first because I didn't like the way she looked in white.
Here's my progress so far -

How I bought her -

After a coat of black -

Present day -

My next steps are to build a decent hood scoop, do all the usuals to the engine,
upgrade the suspension (it sucks), get bigger wheels and wider tires and work
on the interior to get rid of the horrible "table cloth" looking design they used
on the seats, doors and various areas. rolleyes.gif

got any photos of your projects?

I think it looked better in white.......

My current project.

I just ordered some new items for my "other" project, of which I will post late next week.

I've heard that...but I've personally never liked white on 99.9% of cars.
I like white Celicas if the trim is done right to create contrast.

The white was real rough, though. Lots of surface rust. Needed to be
painted anyway. It's a nice break from all the internal work I do to the
Celi.

You gettin' a wheelie bar for that thing? biggrin.gif

3sgte engine swaps. celica's engine to the mr2, mr2's to the celica.
ones built ones not. i did every single bushing over in the mr2, SO tedious to press out every bushing and unbolt everything, i thing i replaced atleast 20 of em.

I've pulled more SW20 Turbos than I ever wanted to [Really only two but it's such a PITA compared to the Celica I didn't want to do the second one at all] and my eye is saying that thing is gonna be knocking on the firewall everytime you shift - but as you say we'll see.
Meh - cut out the firewall and loose the passenger seat so you can be closer to your Turbo tongue.gif

Only projects i got on the go that I own, is my daily driven 2002 EP3 Civic..

Then ones I dont own, that im pretty much building/doing all the work on....

My buddies salvaged 2005 WRX STI..he bought it from an insurance company in Vegas...the guy put it into a ditch, wrecked the driveshafts, front bumper, headlights and a bit of frame damage...but he then took every thing he wanted out of it..so its missin speakers, radio, carpets all cutup, boost controller missin. So we are rebuilding and puttin some more power to it..so far we put an Apexi intake on, ordered up a HKS hi-power exhaust, HKS SSQV and we havent made up our mind on boost controller and water/methonal injection kit yet.
only pic i can find right now...

And im workin on my buddies 97 Integra RS. Its his first import/non-family car...so im helpin him with moddin it properly for cheap and gettin him into the import game. So far, all thats done is a strut bar, AEM short ram intake, dyed carpets, reupholstered headliner, momo evolution steering wheel, and black housing turn signals. Hes gettin an OEM style carbon fiber hood soon, then repainting the car black.

EDIT: the teg is actually purple...its funny cuz he drove a purple Intrepid b4 this, vowed he would never drive a purple car again, comes home and has a purple integra...lol

That Teg is sweet. One of my in-laws has one. I never drove one until last
summer. They drive really similar to the Del Sol I had.

Nice cars.

When Chuck Norris visits and graces us with his presence and roundhouse kicks us all in the face, then points at my car and yell "PERFECTO!" which results in my car looking like it just rolled off the showroom floor back in '91 but with the 1JZ in place of the 7M.

Axel - That's a nice looking Teggy. I wouldn't mind owning one if it wasn't for the fact that they're a pretty hot item here in town. frown.gif kindasad.gif

Thanks NgoFcukinWay. The last year of the Integra. I was lucky to get my hands on it.. It's hard to find one that's not ragged out and not a million miles on it. I try to keep it clean.

There's a white one with a 1JZ here in town for sale for $4500 on craigslist. I wouldn't pay that much though considering who owned it before and how he mistreated the car.

This is My ST205 WRC project.

This is my 1995 Celica St with Gen2 3sgte swap with E153 in it. Current mods are 3" turbo back exhaust, ct20b, FCD, Water Injection, 16 PSI, Battery relocation, 3" Intake, dropped 1.5 inches all around, 17" rims. The hood and lip went onto my GF's car, (long story, look at supershannon77's build thread for all the details) It will now have the complete front end off my WRC clip thumbsup.gif

These are the pics of the clip

Tear down begins

I had more pics of the progress but, I messed that up some how......So I will work on getting more. My good friend Manny came down and Put all the new gaskets on, and put it all back together. The motor is now up at his place in mass getting put back in, then getting painted. The New mods list is GEN3 with E153 LSD tranny thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif, FCD, 3" turbo back, possibly 4" intake (still debating), ct20b (obviously), ATS adjustable Cam gears, Water Injection and 21psi. 300+ wheel hp here we come.

93 Trans Am -- This is a LONG term project. Currently have a $14K 383 stroker on a stand in the garage, have a $1500 PT76GTS in my pantry, a $2K FAST XFI Computer, and a whole host of other parts. Have approximately $20K in parts laying around for it. Still waiting on the hot parts for the turbo, and some other misc, and it'll all go together. Looking for 800+ RWHP and single second timeslips when it's done, full weight pump gas car.

My own custom fuel rails:

99 Corvette -- THis was NOT supposed to be a project right now, but after some spirited driving about 2 weeks ago now and a little bit of inattention on my part, I kissed the rev limiter pretty hard and after correcting that action proceeded to rip the camshaft gear out of the camshaft. Resulting damages included custom valve reliefs on every piston, custom bent pushrods, and custom vent valves. Had a set of ported heads and a Lingenfelter Turbo Camshaft on standby, but still have to cough up the dough for a Forged LS3 shortblock (377 CID, 4.070 bore 3.622 stroke, GREAT bore to stroke ratio), fuel system, misc stuff, and installation since I'm paying a buddy to do it as this happened 350 miles from home.

Piston Damage on the worst cylinder:

Worst bent valve:

Worst Pushrod (Not Me)

Missing cam gear and bolts:

Nice part?? This one should be completely streetable and lay down in the 700-750 RWHP range without batting an eye with the twin turbo's. Downside is that it's costing me $8K right now, which I really don't have but refuse to let this one sit on jackstands like the Trans Am.

THis is my s14 that ive been working on for about a full year now. Picked it up from a great friend of mine (actually a great douchebag) who literally let this car sit in a parking for about 3 years. Umm, about the pics, this is all i have, considering i am bad at remembering to take pics of the progres as i went along, and what all i have are some cell phone camera pics of the engine going in, and after install.

Anywho, after buying the car, i knew it needed some work done such as the engine wiring needed to be re-wired, replacement of suspension componets and all. There was a list i wrote up, but all in all it was a good car. My plans for it, are pretty simple. Just a nice street machine that puts down decent power, and can hold its own for the local auto-x in town, and maybe some track days. The engine is an sr20 blacktop, and the only work ive been able to get done on it, is the engine swap itself, wiring the ECU to the car, and replace the springs/struts with tein dampners, and replace some worn bushings. Future progress involves rust-proofing the underbody, getting the car started, adn finishing up the suspension work i have to do...

I wanted it all done by end of this summer, but right now, im still stationed over in korea, AND, i am PCS'n over back to okinawa end of this year, so this poor car is sitting in storage...oh wells..

1997 GSXR 750

Now I have full leather pants with pads, a new red leather jacket, and riding boots. Much safer then my last set up with jeans and skate shoes.

0-60 in 3.2 6th gear maxed should get me to 180mph, but I haven't tried, just hit 147 and stopped... too young to die.

Thanks guys. She's my pride and joy. Crappy part is tuning the carbs to match the exhaust, I still can't get them dialed in correctly :-/

My inexpensive project:

Gets me back and forth to work (the whopping 2 mile round trip commute). I don't even start the WRX up anymore during the week. Saves me tons of money on gas (fill up once a month!!) and thus - I save more money to put back into it.

I love the simplicity of a fixie over a geared bike. No cables, no brakes, nothing.

Nice wheels wink.gif When do I get to see it? Is it here, or across the mountains?

They're not bad cars though...my brother still has his, which was his first car, from 2003...brand new, and now it looks like sh!t. I think he's washed it maybe five times in his life.

Planning on a frame-off restoration, will replace the tank and seat with the original, and anything and everything that's plastic or rubber, as it hasn't even been registered since well before a lot of you were even born lol

The goal:
