easy! because he put a "powered by toyota" sticker on his car, then realized it was a honda, so he put a toyota motor in it so he wouldnt look like a poser!!

That just shows how great of an engine the 3S-GTE is.
If a Civic owner is willing to spend the money and take the time to make a 3S-GTE fit in a Civic when they could have a turbocharged H22A, B20B, B18C5, or B16A for the same price probably, then the engine must be good.  Honda has never offered a turbocharged engine from the factory, have they?

of course not, TC's amd SC's are not part the the honda equation. Mr honda himself said that he wanted his cars to be the most economical as possible but when the driver really wants it, to have enough power to pass or something like that. honda is all about economy. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

yea, honda offered the honda city, back in the 80s, some econobox looking TURBO car, that made like 90 HP or something.... it didnt go over very well, so they cut production and apparently never made a turbo car since.

Hehe...I sure it hauls ass... but it's not very light (2800 lbs)... it's a 4 door coupe. Anyways... regardless of what you all think... I still say Honda makes some of the best ALL-MOTOR engines on the market... I mean...the K20A is an awesome motor (up to 220hp stock)... the H22A (200hp stock) is an awesome motor... and these things can kill nearly any n/a Yota motor (stock condition of course)... Anyways... awesome picture...hehe |

are we forgetting the Beams 3sge? and what about the VVT-i Laden 2jzge? those engines rival anything honda puts out, but i get what you are saying they are very good n/a motors. but not best on the market, best N/A motors on the market are all domestic V-8s. sucks to admit it... but for all motor, its tough beating 4.6+L of displacement.
