Ok i got my centerforce I clutch yesterday. The only place in town that will do it wants to charge me 550......and well frankly i dont wanna pay that much. Can someone give me a quick basic how to on how to pull the tranny out and put a new clutch in? That would be wonderful. I have tools and know how but i've never even touched a celica before so i dont know my way around. Also dont really know much about FWD vehicles. But any info would be great. I wanna try to just do this myself if i can and save some money. Thanks.

It's not gonna be easy...

Basically, you wanna unbolt any wires, etc that are bolted down to the tranny...there are a few I think. You'll need an engine hoist preferably, or a jack that can hold the engine up... cause you'll need to remove 2 motor mounts. Take off your intake parts to make room... unbolt the bolts that hold in the tranny... take off the tranny motor mount, take off the bottom motor mount, and drop tranny.

That's the basic jist of it...but it sounds easier than than it is to do. It took my cousin and me, around 10 hours to do my clutch... and he's a certified mechanic...

It's not an easy task...

its because the celica is a front engine fwd car

you can drop a rwd tranny in 30 minutes
