Sup,
I know its a stupid question but does the JDM 3SGTE motor (2nd gen) share the same parts as USDM type? Can I buy parts like water pump, timing belt, etc.... here in the US or I need to special order it from Japan. Which parts can I buy and which parts can't I buy! Hit me ASAP! THANKS --------------------  =( |

Specifically, I'm not too sure, but from things that I've read the 2nd gen has more easily accessible parts in the US because of its similarity with the USDM engine. The 3rd gen is where things get tough.

the only major difference between the USDM and JDM 185 is the ecu and harness the physical motor is pretty much the same... differences but for almost everything you will be able to go to toyota and order parts for the 5th gen all trac and will work on the JDM version

Actually...the JDM motor also has lower compression, and I believe it has different sensors also. 5th gen alltrac...sounds better as 2nd gen alltrac...5th gen celica This post has been edited by Kwanza: Sep 28, 2003 - 3:21 PM |

Yes they do.
