Im thinking of replacing my filter with a trd sports one, but i'll have to order it from the dealer, and its 80 bucks. Is it a good idea to get it or is it not really an improvement at all (im not putting a new intake on any time soon btw) ???

It's a good deal if you plan on keeping your car for a while. It will save you money on replacing those paper filters. The TRD one sounds a little expensive, though.

Try an Amsoil 2-stage foam air filter, washable and re-useable, order some of their foam filter oil when you need to clean it. I wash mine in a bucket of warm water with dish soap to cut the old oil, let it dry, re-oil and back in. :

Amsoil air filter

TS-09 for 6th gen $28.10 + freight
TS-113 for 7th gen $32.30 + freight

older models also avail

order thru my site:

My Amsoil Webpage

or look up your local Amsoil dealer, usually in the yellow pages under oil.
