Ok heres the deal, im planning to get these 17x7 rims with 40 offset. But id lowering my car in the future probably 1.5" - 2". Will these rims be alright with no guard rubbing? also will these be enough for slightly bigger brakes you think?

Thanks for reading, and helping me out if you do guys.

should be fine according to WannabeGT4's data:

QUOTE
Ideal Offset in Relation to Wheel Width (lower ride height):
Width - Offset
7.0"-----36mm with 10mm spacer (effectively 26mm) *
7.5"-----33mm
8.0"-----40mm
8.5"-----46mm *
9.0"-----53mm (probably too wide no matter what offset)

these numbers are "ideal" meaning they are flush with the body, 40 offset should be be fine. If you're gonna get adjustable suspension, i say just adjust the suspension according to the wheels. And on a 17in rims compared to the stock 15's you should be able to slap on a big brake kit no problem just make sure the spokes don't hit the caliper.
