Ok,

My power steering belt is squeeling bad. It seems to squeal a lot worse when the car is cold compared to when it has been running for a while. Especialy on startup like when i'm pulling out of a parkin space and have the wheel turned all the way the squeel is horrendus. It gets worse if I happen to be revving a lil to start off. Also going around 90 degree turns where the wheel isn't turned all the way it will squeel slightly. I have put belt dressing on it and it only helps for a day or two. Is it possible that it is just loose? Or is the belt going bad. If so when I replace it I heard it is best to just go ahead and replace all 3 belts while I have it torn down down that far. I think the power steering belt from Autozone is like $20 and for all 3 belts it was like $50.

As for the difficutly. Should I attempt doing this myself? I have limited engine work experience but am willing to get my hands dirty and try to figure things out. Do I need any special tools? Also it looks like I may have to remove the engine mount on the passengers side. Is that correct?

thanks for suggestions.

Its not that easy, its on the right and your going to probably have to get underneath the car to tighten it. Mine is doing it right now too and yeah it'll be worse when cold. Things expand as they get hotter so thats why it doesnt when its hot. Also just check ur steering fluid, make sure u have enuf.

You dont need any special tools, i would check how tight it is first, you can jsut reach down and check. If its tight, ur going to have to replace it.

And whats the 3rd belt?

removing the engine mount isn't that simple. Gotta either jack the engine up from the bottom, or get a cherry picker (engine hoist) to support the engine while the mount is off.

Why do u wanna take off the engine mount?
And the one on the right isnt ur conventional mount, its basically a nut and bolt. Theres a tightening bolt you can get to from underneath the pass. side. Tighten that.
