Hi All,

I have a problem, local mechanic messed with the screw located above the vacuum diaphragm on the ACIS induction bulkhead.

From what I can see this controls the degree at which the butterfly's are positioned.

Anyone able to help with this, close up pics would be helpful in getting an understanding of screw setting. I've asked local Toyota dealerships, nothing............help bowdown.gif

TIA
Adam

Hi

Thanks, can you possibly post a pic taken from the passenger side of engine bay (close up).

This is purely to give me a good idea of where most of you guys have theirs set to.

At present it is unscrewed fully and screwed clockwise just so that ti touches the arm associated with the diaphragm.

TIA
Adam

Dude,

You've been the most helpful to date, judging by the position, this is where I readjusted it based on feel and drive.

I will get my other half to rev the engine to see where the acis kicks in biggrin.gif

All done and road tested, feels like it did when I bought the car.

Had a m8 jump in a rev engine several times, noticed the ACIS kick in around 5K possibly.

Where's yours kicking in?

Final question will adjusting it clockwise further bring cause the ACIS to kick in earlier or is it an anticlockwise turn?

TIA

change over is 5200rpm on gen3 3S-GE, you have to get a vaccum controller like delusionz (he's got his set at 4,000rpm)

I think is little adjustment only changes how quickly it changes over (so if you screw it in faster change over, screw it out slower change over)
(not 100% sure on it though)

Sounds logical as it acoustically controlled, however I will leave ti where it is, and 5200rpm sounds about right as that's roughly where I noticed the actuator move.

Thanks for all your help, has been a good learning curve (I always thought this could lead to serious engine damage and or effect mixture)

Thanks again.
