I bought my Tacoma back in December of '06 and parked the celica for awhile. Then I got it back on the road around September and started playing with it again. Upgraded my sub setup to two 12" SL7s and two ZX750.1 kicker amps. I wanted something that would give good sound in a small space so I got them & ontop of that I got some killer deals from an accomdation through kicker. Car was at my buddies car shop where he made the fiberglass boxes for me. Finally got it back yesterday and washed it off this morning and took some snaps. Glad to have her back.

Whats new to me. The CF hood, got some smaller rims to get more tire still have 17" in my shed, SL7s, and amps.

I'm gonna finish my sound setup. Getting the three way component speaker setup Dynaudio Esotec 362 (8", 3", 1.1") in the doors and Dynaudio MW162 (6.5) rear. New Alpine head unit and equalizer. Then its time to save up to play with the engine. And I have to get it resprayed sometime soon too; same color.

they're fiberglass. just had to mold the back. They are removable but its completely fiberglass. My buddy made it for me. I know how to do some fiberglassing but he wanted to do them for me since it was gonna take some experience. He owns his own car shop which I need to go harasse him about my Dynaudio speakers and seeing about ordering an ARC Audio amp.

finally about to have my new speakers in! So excited. had to make fiberglass mounts for the 3 1/2 inch speakers replacing the 4 inch speakers and shaved the tweeter covers and made a mount for the much larger tweeters, going from .5 inch stock to 1.1 inch smile.gif

Hey man I love the fiberglass sub enclosures but they look a bit small, you sure they are big enough for those subs? I only ask cause i was going to do something similar in my coupe but the enclousers would have been so bit there wouldn't have been a point to do it that way over doing a box... And 1" tweets fit in the stock triangular pieces...

Yeah the kickers only require 1 cubic feet and its a little over that. They hit relatively
well about the same volume as my old 10" vented setup definitely moving less air then the 10s though. I havent metered them yet. And I'll have pictures of the tweeters up tom. Basically had to make a fiberglass pod over the stock ones and cut them up a bit but I think they look pretty good. Ran all the wires today and textured and sprayed the fiberglass mounts today. Tom just have to connect the wires and make a wooden ring to help support the new 8" speakers.... pics very very soon.

The tacoma is very stock. All I have is black grill, westin bull bar, and trd exhaust. Love my truck but trying to play w/ the celica right now. Very soon I'm gonna put two ten inch arc audio subs behind the seat and arc audio component set up front w/ their mini amps which I think are one of the coolest things out for car audio right now.

side note new pc and evidently i have no pictures of the tacoma on it so i'll take some tom and post for you too.

They sound great. Listened to Hotel California Farewell Tour and the trumpet at the beginning was so crisp and realistic. Theses speakers are made to sound exactly like the real thing and they do an awesome job. I need a new headunit and need to break them in but man its the best sounding components for a car I've heard. Killer. Here's some pics. Got home late so i was taking them in the dark.
