I got some Celica front upper strut bars. These are not the stock ones. They fit the ST right on with no modifications. I dont know if they clear the intake chamber on the GT. Check out the photos of the bar on my car.
$80 shipped to anywhere in the USA

I'm not sure, thats why I only put celica st. But let me do some research or find a GT in my city to check for fitment.
You can see in the last picture how it sits like 1" or so, above the air chamber. I will take another picture real close so you can see it better.

Well.. did some research and determined that this strut bar will clear the GT's and the 5s - 3s engines, barely, but it will fit.
You can return it to me, if for some odd reason it dont fit, but will have to pay for shipping to get it back to me!

What does a strut bar do?

The theory behind it is that in hard cornering, the sheet metal in the front clip (or the whole car, for that matter) flexes as the vehicle is subjected to the cornering force. By linking the left and right strut towers together, the force applied to the outside strut can be supported as well by the inside strut tower. Apparantly the steering becomes more precise and stable, and turn-in is improved. Turn-in is the way the vehicle sets itself into a turn (often followed closely by vicious oversteer).

Will they turn a boring car into a racer? No, but they do make a relatively small improvement. Some cars respond very well to the addition of a strut bar. Especially if you have already upgraded the springs, shocks and tires. More grip means more load on the chassis, which can cause more flex.

I sold 2 strut bars to GT owners and they were satisfied. So these will fit the GT. Especially because the GT engine is slightly tilted towards the firewall, So the strut bar will sit in-between the intake manifold and the engine head
