Yeah I caught that. Its just hard to believe. How many AMGs are on the road compared to Civics? Its because some cars are not as driven as much as others. So when you take a ticket on a weekend car its going to hold a higher % over a daily driver. You could get 25 tickets for a camry on 100k driven but have 500 camrys and 6 tickets on the AMG but only have 100 so the AMG has a larger percentage.

I thought that's what the study was saying? I thought it was just showing which cars have the highest percentage of tickets issued. The AMG has more tickets per car on the road than Civics or Camrys. That's just what I got out of the article.

I said its a bs way of looking at it because its going off %s. You could have 1500 tickets for a civic and only 30 for a rare car and the rare car has a higher % which doesnt make it the more likely car to get pulled over just because the number of a certain model is low. You can always find a statistic to make your opinion work. Michael Moore has made a living off statistics that are a reach.

Exactly! HEY! Lemme buy a car they made 1 of and get a ticket! WOOO!!!! It is one of the most ticketed cars with the highest percentage!!! Lemme make it 200% by getting another ticket!

If I have a 507HP car I'm definitely getting a ticket once or twice... no reason not to.

That's not bad actually. My first ticket, I burned out in a parking lot right in front of two officers. They couldn't believe it! LOL I had forgot they were there and I barely was learning how to drive stick. I had a stick shift car, and just 3 days before that incident, learned how to drive from dead stop (that was the only hard part at the time). That was a $360 ticket that put 2 points on my record, even as a first offense and I got the charge lowered to $250. Then I was doing 100mph in a 40mph when I got pulled over. I was rushing my friend home because his roommate wasn't going to wait for him when he got home and they had to be somewhere. I explained that to the officer right outside his house as his roommate drove up and he gave me 1 point and allowed me to go to traffic school instead of a fine. Was nice enough to put 75mph in the zone and said the zone was 45mph. Then I bought slow cars and now have a clean record. LOL I was barely 18 then so......... What was my point? OH yeah! Points!

Here, it is 4 points and your license GONE

No points system here that I am aware of, just can't get too many tickets in a short period of time. Wait... Now that I think about it, that probably IS a points system and I've just never asked the right questions... Oh well, I'm dating the judge's cousin! Even before I found her though, I was fortunate enough to get court supervision two times in one year. I don't care to push my luck anymore.

Here it's 100 points to lose your licence, points for various offenses vary between 10 and 50...however if you get caught going more than 40km/h over the limit (25mph over) you instantly get suspended for 28 days...

It isn't a survey on what cars are typically ticketed for asshattery, just tickets in general. Most Subie drivers are older and don't drive like a dick (in public). Mostly SRT-4 drivers (read: kids) are attempting to race anything on 4 wheels and a motor. EVO owners fall somewhere between Subies and SRT-4's.

Just remember, its a survey of the cars that were ticketed the most over the course of a year.
