Im trying to take out my shifter assmebly but whats stopping me is the trim that surrounds it. The one that runs down on the side where your feet go and runs up the bottom section of the console. Hope i was clear enough. Ive taken out the centre console front and all the scews i could see, but it doesnt seem it want to move. Any help would be great.

if you open your center console cut holder box you'll see bolts under the matt.

it's called the front console panel... iirc, you need to:

-remove the shift boot surround trim (snaps off, no screws)
-the center console (two 14mm bolts inside the center console storage, two screws at the front, unplug the ashtray light from underneath)
-remove the center stereo bezel (two screws at the bottom, the rest snaps off, unplug the clock and hazard connections)
-loosen the climate control box (follow this how-to, this is the hardest step)
-then you'll be stuck after this point and see that there's no way to remove the shifter assembly without pulling the entire climate control with the cables completely out. instead, you need to cut the lower horizontal plastic support of the front console panel so that you can slide the climate control cables through the slit so it exits through the shifter hole. this part is a bit confusing to write but you'll figure it out when you reach this step.

*edit: nvm looks like you figured it out
