it's a 94 toyota celica gt 2.2. one of the spark plug wires had oil dripping from it. I changed the valve cover gasket and oil stopped. I also changed the pcv, pcv hose, and grommet. I also cleaned as much of the oil as possible from the spark plug and wire. My car ran fine before my little fix and now it stumbles when i give it a hard acceleration. but, if i take it easy initially, then rest of the acceleration is fine. it sounds like it bogs down. and if it dies and i look at my short ram intake, there is slight smoke coming out of the intake filter. it's a rebuilt engine. i haven't changed the spark plugs and fuel filter in a while. but i didn't think those were the problem since i didn't have any issues before i replaced the gasket for the valve cover.i changed the pcv valve cause i saw that it had oil type of residue on it and the grommet and the hose was deteriorated.

figured everything out. it was simply a bad rotor on the distributor. fixed the mileage issue as well.
