Ok here goes... I bought some full face indiglo guages a while back, the kind that come with the dimmer switch that says TRD on it. Well I liked the switch but I hated the guages because the hole face lit up. I ordered a set of reverse guages to see if I would like them better,I love the way they look in my car but I hated the dimmer switch that came with the rev glo guages. So what I did was use the trd dimmer switch and converter with my new rev glo guages. I haven't had any problems with them yet but is there a chance that something might burn out or short out.

not really. All a dimmer switch is is a variable resistor, therefore the only thing that can happen is if your new guages are only ment to handle up to a specific voltage and you turn up your guages as bright as the dimmer will let you, which then might allow to much current to pass thru which could burn out your gauges. But since the dimmer is from another set of guages you will probably have no problems.
Sorry if anyone is offended by my run on sentence... |
