guess you weren't good enough for them, eh? you were concise, polite and direct. you also had a valid reason for asking for interim help while the call was out to the tech. personally i think it's an XY thing happening here...99.9% of copier techs are 30+ y.o. males living with their moms and still fantasize about being on a desert island with Angelina Jolie.

but yea they sound so sheltered that they dont even know how to fix their own things. they just go straight to customer service. they probably go to their car dealership to get their tires pumped up with air because they dont know how to do it themselves

You know the thing is is that it seems like most of the people on that forum are copier technicians. So they're total geeks, basically. Which makes me an epic loser that I got banned for life by a geek forum.

Seriously I just think it's about the funniest thing that's happened to me in a LONG time!!!!

WOW! This Copy Forum sucks. I used to be in the print and design service and this just pisses me off, but at the same time lol. I sure as hell will not pay $100-200 to get a tech to my work just to show me the drum/bin and replace it with a new one.

I've only had experience with the bigger Xerox printers, but the waste bin should be in a cover slot that can be pulled out or opened, usually located on the side of the printer. It's either a filter looking thing with toner waste (looks like a pile of black ashes) in it or a plastic bottle bin with toner waste in it. If this is not the case, more than likely since it's a "drum" for the IM3510, it's going to be in the same place where the toner cartridges are placed. So open the main door and pull out the rolling rack. Locate the fuser/transfer module and find a drum like this one depicted, again if not it may look like a filter too.



Remove and check to see if it's heavy feeling or that it has a sign of being filled up with toner waste. If it does replace with a new waste drum and see if anything changes. If not maybe one of the sensors in the printer may be covered with toners or dust. FYI! DO NOT! Do not use compressed air canister to clean the inside of a office printer. Results may spread the toner around certain areas that WILL affect printing to the highest degree of dirtyness (black spots all over copies). Wipe everything down and see if it does anything. Usually a cloth with some dabs of corn oil/vegetable oil will pick-up toner and dust better.

Only way to tell would be to remove one and see if the toner light comes on indicating that you just removed the toner.

Okay, I may sound like a bit of a nerd here, but did you guys know that printers and copiers actually have their own serial codes that they print on every paper that they make? Believe it or not, they print very tiny pixel size spots on the paper that correspond to their serial number. So you can actually tell what printer a paper was printed from(is you have the tools to read the serial code from the paper)

I just thought that was interesting...

So I re-registered, using a different email, thinking that the router at work would broadcast a different IP address. I guess I was wrong. I'm banned—again.

And I didn't even do anything. I just re-registered because my company just paid $88 for a technician to come out and tell us he doesn't support our copier. LAME. So I wanted to see if I could find another technician, local to me, who DOES support our copier. The Maintenance light is gone, but now the copier jams perpetually.

Here's my little "site feedback" I sent through the site to the administrator. I seriously can't believe what a little prick this guy is. What's worse, is that I can't believe how very pissed off I am by this! LOL

You know, I re-registered on the site so I could follow up and request valid and useful info—with a "better attitude" that might be more conducive to your forum's culture; after having a technician come out to look at our copier, only to be charged $88 for him to tell us he doesn't support our copier (why he couldn't tell me this over the phone is beyond me), I re-registered so I could actually try to find a technician in my area who DOES support our copier so I could give THEM the business. You need to seriously ****ing get over yourself. This is complete and utter crap. I hope the sense of power that you feel by banning people for petty reasons that *you* deem to be viable ones more than compensates for your feelings of inadequacy and your obviously really small genitalia.

You should have picked a better support company to come to your office. I
get calls from customers like you all the time that hired a less than
professional service company to take care of their machines and I usually
charge them more for doing so. If you wish to dispute what he charged you,
call him or your better business bureau. Crying like a little girl to me is
not going to repair your machine or reduce what he charged you.

Now it is time to get the sand out of your vagina and grow up. We charge
people for a reason and try and provide support as best we can. Bitching
about the forum on your other site and then sending your little fan boys
over here was stupid and not conducive to the situation. You are the leading
problem in your situation so grow up and hire an actual professional or stop

The site has a policy to remove trolls and the people that cause the trolls
