I thought it was an aussie model at first (ZR Model)cause it has the 240km, standard a/c control.
Although the ZR didnt have leather seat, but its missing the fog lights.

Its got all the ZR standard option (drivers airbag and passengers airbag, side skirts, polished wheel)

I think all of the Canadian GT's have the 240 speedo. Those shouldn't be that hard to find.

yup but it's kinda stupid to have it when the car can barely even reach 150.. even the st205 with supposedly taller gears and higher redline have dials that go only up to 180kph.

pretty much all japanese cars are 180km/h speedo and speed cut (the new ones are now full speed?)

Once upon a time there was a red '95 3s-fe powered SS-I which hit 170kph @ 6000 RPM in 4th gear and still had more to go in 5th. Not saying who's it was or what kind of tarmac it did it on tongue.gif

Moral of the story? Don't count out the 5s. (I've never driven a 5s powered car ever, Just the 3s-fe, 3s-ge & 3s-gte but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere between the 3s-fe and 3s-ge)

ST205 tall gears - Yes, the redline is 6800 as opposed to 7000 so the top speed of each gear is still the same as the 3s-ge with s54.

looks like a the normal prefacelift 2 post spoiler to me, whats the difference, looks like a TRD exhaust aswell maybe??

but its diffently a SS-II (or else it would just have a 3S-FE engine), so maybe a toms edition? like you said.

Interesting find... I found another <-- this hatch is obviously swapped on

Also, I thought projectors & facelift tails were only on jdm???? <-- albany toyota would put those on that car????

justinholland's 1996 ss2 celica: the exhaust looks like the one that I have (jasma, was fitted in japan)... that hatch is very well done... since 1994 and 1995 red celicas are 'renaissance red' and 1996 is 'super red'

oh how bout this one... doesn't have any special traits about it, just your average 1996 celica, it lacks sunroof and other special celica insignias... but it's got 25th anniversary seats...

yeah I saw that one I gave the prices and part numbers to a person on toyspeed, so maybe it was them?

I reckon it could be a Tom's Edition SS-II

ahh so thats what the 25th anniversary seats look like.

what makes this even weirder is that only the 94-95 came with the 2 post spoiler. this could be either an SS-II or SS-III (3sge) but definitely not SS-I (3sfe)

NZ New..... thats a very strange model, I've seen a Group A Rallye (Aus model, WRC) here in NZ..... and this doesn't seem to be one.... it also has a drivers air bag, Never seen air bags 1994 models.

Are those headlight spray jets or LED light accents? WRC models have sprays there don't they?

NZ GT-Four makes sense though, Theres a stage of the WRC raced in the Waikato.... Find out more about this!!! I might go look at it in person for ****s and giggles, it looks like a beat up and thrashed version of my car

well they called it a SS-II ( so they could be wrong)... maybe it had a boot smashed or something, could check the rear window to see if it has the same vin number on it(they could have just put another one on it, being a prefacelift boot with a 2post spoiler)

The black things infront of the head lights, some people put blue leds there to give a blue accent through the middle of the headlight beam... on WRC GT-Fours I believe they have headlight washer jets there. My GT4 doesn't have anything there at all as seen here:

a couple interior differences - climate control, horn buttons, 180 vs 280 kph dashes. nz new (so they say) model:

my JDM model:
