Yes, you saw that right. This is a one up on the guy who inadvertantly painted everything when he did his calipers as this guy did this intentionally. I am dying here. -------------------- |

the paint wouldn't even last 5miles on the braking surface...it would just rub off It totally does. Actually a lot of people paint their rotors this way and then use the brakes to remove the paint from the pad surface. It doesn't leave any place for the rust to start except what gets cleaned after every rain by the next use of the brakes. It's pretty much the only way to make sure you coat every surface on the rotor. The fail here isn't with the DIY guy - it's with whoever made that article. -------------------- ![]() ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. I can only guess the Dremel was used to drill more holes into the rotors. I do not know why you would paint your calipers if you have rims that do not even show your calipers.
