. . . . . . . . . . . . . . No mouseover for you. I just ripped off and tore down all four calipers today and dropped them off for powdercoating. Just doing a red on the stock calipers. Surprisingly enough, for having 145K miles, only minimal parts need replacing. The front pin bushings need replacing, there was one torn boot on a rear pin bushing, and that's about it. All the shims and springs are good, the pistons and boots are fine, I was rather surprised. SHould have them back on Sunday or Monday and back on Monday for sure as I'm back to work on Tuesday. Pic to come obviously. -------------------- |

But of course!!!!! Just doing the standard red though. Once I get my hands on the GT4 calipers, that's when the nice colors will come out.
I did discover two crappy things today. Shredded the CV boot on the drivers side, and the radiator drain cock was leaking, though I think a line rubbed the plug loose. -------------------- |

![]() 'bout time you updated your signature, too. I'm tired of looking at those AMP wheels. They're not AMP, they're HP Design, thank you very much! ![]() Yah, I do need to update that though. Car still down. Calipers didn't get done until LATE last night, but I needed pin bushings at all corners and had to order them. If I hadn't been a dumbazz I'd have ordered them on Friday and had them by now. -------------------- |

Was putting the car back together last night. Everythign was going GREAT. Calipers were going together fine, no leaks, ect. Got it all done, brakes bled, parking brake adjusted good, put it back on all fours, was torqueing down the lugnuts on the third wheel. Third lugnut, the POS lugnut key stripped out. The lug nuts for these wheels are the narrow body internal allen head lug nuts that require a bit allen head key (bigger than I've ever seen in the store). The day they came in with the wheels I looked at the key and made a mental note: "That key is GOING to strip one day and screw me." And it happened last night. I can't win. -------------------- |

Measure the size man - I may have one around the shop for repairing our CNCs Will get back to you if I don't have any local luck. I'm dropping my wife off at her work (AutoZone) here shortly and am going to run in and see if by chance one of the LARGE brake calipers sets will work for it. -------------------- |

I spent like $40 for them all and they are AWESOME I actually use Gorilla's on the Vette and Trans Am, but the Celi wheels require an absolute narrow body lug nut that AFAIK, Gorilla doesn't make. However, I found what I need. Katie checked at her Auto Zone for what I needed, and couldn't find anything. She picked me up from work and as I dropped her off I stopped in to double check. Found a set of "Metric Caliper Hex Sockets" with a 12, 14, and 16mm hex socket. The 12mm fit like a champ. Back in business. -------------------- |

Gorilla does make tuner lugs. You can get them at Les Schwab, Discount Tire co., Firestone, etc. (insert wheel/tire shop in your area) Where ever they sell aftermarket wheels, you can find gorilla lugs.
I use Muteki lug nuts. They're a bit more than Gorilla lugs, but I think they're a bit higher quality than them. I just want pictures! -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Just drove it in to work. Nice thing about going in at 0230 is that I could do several bed down 45-0 stops on the way. The new blank rotors and EBC Red Stuff Pads bite freaking HARD. Initial bite isn't overly impressive, but as soon as they start to get a bite it comes on hard and fast. I'm thinking about measuring out some 60-0 stopping distances becase frankly, I was impressed at how quickly this thing stops now.
