Yes it does pretty much bolt up. www.jarcoinc.com/inventory check there because they are always good to deal with and have decent prices. If you do find cheaper prices, I'd be skeptical as Jarco is probably the fastest shipper of engines to most people and they are very easy to deal with and are honest.

It could be done.(keeping it auto that is.) just wouldn't try to push it over 200hp. Also, the GZE doesn't just 'drop in.' You can ask Mynzeyes about that. Engine swapping is a difficult process. Were I you, I would turbo the 7a.

ask 97scelica about his turbo set up. He can make it a NA engine any time he wants, and it will only take a little while to do it. With a swap, there is no going back. You have to modify all kinds of things in the car, and re-build your wiring harness and all that good stuff. Just build your 7a with e-bay parts. you will spend Thousands less, and have basically the same power. The only reason I would swap is if I wanted like 300 hp. BUT, if you look in the buy\sell forum, you will see a 7a boosted up to 400+hp. so now I really see no need to swap engines. Keep the 7a. Jon |

so you wanna do a swap instead? if you can't turbo a car, you can't swap a full motor and computer. sorry, but it won't happen unless you fork out money and pay someone to do it for you. or, if you study and read and play w/ the car for a while.
also, you can keep the stock 7afe transmission on the 4agze, but that means you will have to swap the tranny on the motor you get, and that's even more work. you're gonna need to be doin some learning. -John- -------------------- |

![]() i have done it 4 times. give me 45 minutes and the car will be NA again, but a lot of the parts will still be in the car, like the IC piping, IC, electronics, and fuel stuff. if i were to have to take my car in under warranty it would take about 3 hours to put the car back to 100% stock and get what ever it is fixed auto tranny's can take more power then manual tranny's, in general. i havent heard about anyone actually testing out the tranny's that come bolted to 7afe's. and it would take a lot of time and lot of extra money/fabrication to make an auto tranny work with a 4agze. my sugestion is to do some HW. i spent 6 months learning about my car before i did anything more than a cheap short ram intake. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

I'm too lazy to plug our engine numbers into the Turbo size calculation formula (in SCC mag about four months ago.) Why do you think I will spend months doing other things? ![]() |
