has anyone though of putting in different types of engines in their cars? are there some which are alike in nature? just a thought

i am not thinking about it.... but in my town there is a celi for sale with a 2.3 liter supercharged engine which sopposely puts out around 270 horse

hey if i had money like that i might drop in a V6 or even a V8 give the car carzy HP and TQ... just to be diffrente and have something no one else has... or even drop a rotory motor in there just for kicks.... but then agian i really don't think like anyone else.... i also done things people tell me can't be done...

hell,convert it to rear wheel drive and use a buick grand national engine and drive train!


Hanging around minitruckers does this. They fabricate like... everything. Makes me wonder what can't be done...

my granfather would tell me that when he was a mechanic they would have to use parts form other cars all the time... and swapping one engine from one car to another car was something don all the time... but then again this was back in the 40 - 50 -60's in the Dominican Rep.

I know of some one that put a V6 Avalon engine in their 5th gen w/ a Solara tranny his AIM sn is SBCelicaGT, Adrian. From what i read he scurts in 4th. Here is the link. ITS A LOT TO READ but its pretty kewl. He's known as a CELICA GOD!
