I only have the fronts but I can manage myself if I know what needs to be done. Thanks anyway though.

Not sure why you'd want to do any welding on them...doesn't sound very safe. I put them in my Celica- all you have to do is take the bottom metal support piece off of the 6th gen seat cushion and swap it onto the 7th gen seat (you have to completely disassemble them to do that, but its not hard at all)....no welding required and perfect fitment.

any tips or picts to illustrate your point?? i've got both seats.. i've tried removing the slider.. but the i cant seem to dissemble the seats.. i need pointers.. i cant find the bolt/screw to remove the top part of the seat which connects to the frame.. the bottom part was easy.. just 4bolts and the seats comes off..

Did you take the plastic pieces off the side of the rails? You'll need to take them off....there are bolts hidden behind them.

If I get some time tomorrow, I'll take my passenger seat out and take some pictures of them.

Quick question...I heard that I can order (from Toyota) the inner door leather inserts (where mine now has cloth). Is that true?

I don't see them in the parts catalog. They're glued to the door panel aren't they? I've looked for replacement leather inserts without any luck so I repainted mine and they came out Great. What color leather are you looking for? Black? I have some spare door panels with tan leather if you're interested in them.

I was asked in a PM how to remove the plastic pieces from the seats....so I took some pictures of them to show where the 'tabs' are that mount to the rails. Those plastic trim pieces are quite strong, so don't worry too much about breaking them...they're flexible. Just use a flathead screwdriver and they'll pry off.

By the way, thats the handle that flips the seat forward and height adjustment knob you see on the panel....you'll need to pry the plastic up on the inside of the handle to get it off the metal tab holding it on.
