Nighttime photo shoot, Check it out Options

So me and my buddy with a 2000 civic SI were bored one night and decided to go around our city and take some pictures of our cars. We had a ****ty camera and no camera skills, but some of them turned out pretty good, i wish i new more about cameras though..

You need a tripod, and a camera with the 'M' setting (Manual). Adjust the ISO to 400 or less (800 and over turns out really grainy) and set the shutter speed higher. When I take night time photos, I have my ISO to 100 and my shutter speed at 10 seconds.

Thanks man i wil try that out one time. We basically tried messing around with the settings not having the greatest idea what we were doing, so we just kinda found the best settings we could and went from there.

Haha alright, here's a little Camera 101 for you.

The ISO is how grainy the picture turns out. An ISO of 64 will give you crystal clear shots, but they will be very dark. An ISO of 6400 will give you REALLY grainy shots, but they will come out bright. Your shutter speed is when your camera lense opens and absorbs all the light that it sees. The longer it stays open the more light it detects. So an ISO of 64 and a shutter speed of like 15 seconds would be great for night time shots (depending on the camera) but also keep in mind if the camera moves AT ALL in those 15 seconds the picture is ruined, so tripods are a good investment
