heyy everyone, I'm Jayce and I'm 18 years old and live in Melbourne, Australia.
i bought my first car about 2 months ago and since have changed a few things on the exterior including:
adding a red mesh grill, changing the washers so they have red LED in them, changing the headlights to red and putting on the JDM lights.

I was just wondering what are some cheap, efficient and worthwhile modifications i can make to the engine that you would recommend..and any other exterior or interior modifications that would be good.

here are some pictures of my beast =) lol

thanks guys. any input on the topic will be awesome.

Jayce

I'd say the number one thing to remember is keep it clean, and don't rice it out. If you can't afford the 'good' stuff, don't go for the half-price thing that looks half as good.

Per posting pics, use photobucket.

Good luck with modding, guy. Car looks clean, and black takes to a sleek look very well. Remember that. wink.gif

Whats done to your engine? I mean a very simple, and cheap mod, is a Cold Air Intake. I put one on mine along with a cat-back exhaust and its a HUGE difference, not to mention is sounds BEAST!
Your interior probably looks very clean by the looks of your car, but i know with mine it was beat up! and it sounds very ricey but i painted the inside plastics, and it looks alot cleaner now, but thats up to you.
Where'd you get your JDM tails, and clear signals in the front? How much did you pay for them? thanks-

How did you get your headlights to glow red? Did you drill a little hole in the houseing and just slip in a little LED? I was gunna try that a while back when i had a busted up headlight to experiment on but then i tried it out on the busted one and got kinda lazy too do it on the actual headlights.

headers and air intake is the best way to go.. and u can get an exhaust done too.. headers will run around 115ishhh if u get the ebay headers rated for 10-12hp.. and air intake wont get u alot of hp, 2hp if anything, but it will allow more air to the engine and u will get a better aggresive sound out of it.. those car variy at price. i can make ur own at autozone or buy one already done.

First things first.. Car looks clean. It's been taken care of.

Now... Lose the red windshield sprayers. That screams ricer Civic. The red daytime running lights aren't much better. That stuff kinda died out after 2002.

The clear front lights came standard as part of the facelift bumper. The side lights aren't necessarily from a Corolla. Those are factory on the car as well.

engine wise, you should keep up with maintaining oil, trans, fluid, coolant... i really don't think headers do much honesty. i was always one who thought suspension mods go before engine mods... might as well use all of your engine power and still be able to control it. i would just do small stuff and dream big for now. good choice in a car!
