15 inch tires are significantly cheaper than 16
so I'm just wondering if 15 inch rims will be able to clear the brake disc/calipers on the ST205?

anyone with experience?

all depends on the offset of the wheel, most likely no.

No It wont fit

The calipers need a minimum wheel size of 16 anything smaller will not fit

I just tried to fit a 15" mag on my 205 today, it cleared the disc barely but not the shield behind it.....didn't even make it as far as the studs.....so ya 16" minimum just to clear the disc, and offset will determine if it will clear the caliper or not
