Hey all, I have a problem. I have a 94 celica GT. Its transmission blew a few months back, and the car has 230K on it anyway, so I just decided to replace the whole motor. I actually came across a 98 5sfe engine (out of a vert) a couple years back that's just been sitting in my garage, so I just decided to swap that in. I've got the engine fully in, but it won't start. I knew I would encounter some electrical issues due to the year differences, but I felt like I worked through them. However, I'm at the point where everything is fine except that there's no spark getting to the plugs. I replaced the distributer, just in case, but that didn't do anything. I started researching it, and I guess there's some sort of pressure sensor that was implemented on 98? If I don't have a hook up for that on the 94 wiring harness is there a chance that that could be what's causing it not to start? If any of you celica gurus has any idea of the differences between 94 and 98 sensors and harness, please let me know. Thanks!

I am using the 94 harness. I pretty much disconnected everything going to the motor and tranny, pulled it out, put in the new one, and plugged most things back in. I had a few problems, but worked through them. I'm thinking that maybe there's a sensor on the 98 block, that I don't have a plug for on the 94 harness.....
