i don't have any pics at the moment but there are two cables that run out the back of the unit that need to be unclipped... one is blue and goes to an area right near the drivers (left hand drive) right foot, the other is black and goes into the engine bay right at the firewall... if you trace the coolant lines from the head, it runs straight into the black cable... you need to unclip both of them...

oh and you don't need to take that out to remove your carpeting... remove seats, back lower seats, center console w/ armrest, side door runners, lower quarter panels (beneath fuse box and glove box)... that should take care of it if memory serves me right

EDIT: drivers side stomp pad

wow i just posted all of this info... let me grab the link

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=70460

with the AC control... its not tough... you must be doing it wrong... you have to go to the ENGINE side of the firewall.. under the hood is where it is clipped... against the firewall... all the way near the center of the car under the windshield... you will see it poking through... leave the white tube alone

I had removed my carpet to pull the sound deadening, pics here

http://s358.photobucket.com/albums/oo23/nz...dening_removal/

In no particular order, but may help. I just removed everything I could see that was in the way and just remembered what it was, then put it back together in the reverse order that I pulled it

Im doing this tomorrow. Im gonna remove seats, kick panels, any other garnish/trim, then the carpet. Shouldnt be that hard to do really. Depending on how long it takes, I can do a quick write up (w/pics) if anyone wants....
