Take a look at what I've bought. Doesn't seem like much, but then you notice all the little things you've bought to make it what it is... and it gets kinda depressing to see how many thousands of dollars you have poured into it......

Then you drive it and it's all justified tongue.gif

Yea, you need a slightly larger pocket book than you might have originally thought you needed in the beginning. While my car was only $2800, it has cost me well over 5k to get it to where it is now, and that's with me finding parts on sale and using paint shops like Maaco.

Lol. $7400 for the car, and I stopped keeping count on how much I've spent on it a LONG time ago. I'm just now getting to the stuff that actually matters, so I'll start keeping count again. Just don't give up! Every penny you spend on the car is a penny well spent.

I've spent a total of $17,700 (on rough calculation, probably more than this) on my three Celicas (including purchase price).

That makes me facepalm.

My WRX has a little over $18,000 into it (with purchase price included)

and my MR2 has $3500 invested (with purchase)

.........FML.

It'll only depress you more.

I believe Tufy itemized all of his mods and it was something like $40,000.

But it's cool because he's a baller.

At least your spending it all on fun stuff and not repair costs. When it rains, it pours. Over the last 2 weeks, I have spent:

$227- CV joint/axle work
$349- master and slave cylinder and rear brakes (parts and labor)
$187- O2 sensor and Celica Hyper Rev (okay that last one doesn't count)

I got no money left to get fun stuff like SSIII risers smile.gif

Castrol, that's really not bad to have your dream car!

96stgreendemon, you know you're gonna love it when all those boxes start showing up with your new parts! It's worth it. Nothing feels quite as good as knowing you've got new stuff.

Of course it would.

Of course it would.

Ok joke over, actually I prefer painted. The black risers always look unfinished to me, but that's just my opinion. Get a body shop to match your paint color. Shouldn't be too hard wink.gif. Also, if you want the hood, just come up and pick it up. I'd bring it down to the meet, but.. well.. obviously, it won't fit in my car haha.

I wouldn't leave them primer'd, but I would hit them with satin/flat black paint. Worth a try.

Definitely throw some flat black paint on them. The primer isn't bad, but it scratches off pretty easy. The flat black is like $4 from AutoZone. You can get away with it for a while until you get the funds to have them professionally painted or have a bunch of other parts that need paint.

Very nice smile.gif. However, I still think to this day, I'm the only Celica owner here who prefers stock lights over JDM/Euro style. haha. The vertical sections, the amount of them, ect. I love.

Looking good though. When you eventually respray the car, are you going a different color or staying the same?

still not sure, most likely i will stick with this color for 3 reasons, its unique not alot of people with this color kept it, it will be cheaper to paint, and its actually grown on me since i got it, at first i hated it but i like it alot now

Yea it would be unique. It would be nice to see someone baby one of this color, that's for sure. I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of the color either, however the tinted windows really helped so I'm assuming after you do all these mods it's going to look great.

I mean, my GT was white and looked like horse dung haha. After I gave it some love it looks beautiful. Btw, when you are ready to get ready to get it resprayed, lemme know. I'll make sure you get it done right and cheap smile.gif.

Wrong. I like them tinted. But JDM tails are in the future as well.

I didn't mind them that much either. But you're probably the only person to prefer USDM over JDM, to be more specific.

Few $ here few $ there adds up! Now, when I open the wallet,there's a creeking noise & LOTS of dust followed by a moth or 2!!{cough cough}
Both "projects" have me on oxygen...
Our next step is a drivers side stock seat--got a complete seat set with the car!!!
Later 2nite-- out with the broke seat & in with the not broke seat!! smile.gif
