Ok, I found a new fender at a junk yard last night and I'm having some issues with the bolts right there under the door... My old one had two holes for bolts that would bolt to the body from the underside, the new one is a little different, take a look:

Here's my problem, I was under the impression all 94-99 celica fenders were created equal(at least USDM ones, at the very least). I watched dude pull the new one off the celica. It was a vert, so I figured meh, celica is a celica. I was wondering if any of the vert owners, and anyone else who can, please check your fender mounts(it's just a peek under the door area) and see if anyone has a mount up like this.

Please let me know whats up or if any of you know of any differences in fenders and all that good stuff. Thanks people. Please respond to this asap.

**** me.... I was looking at pics and pretty much answered my own question, vert fenders are diff from all the others. Great, either gotta find someone who wants a vert driver fender, or mcguiver this mofo. All those who need new fenders, remember there is a difference between verts and all others..... *mumbles*dumb toyota changing crap.....

when i changed my fenders they mounted just like the one in your picture, but mine is a vert. maybe its a 94-95 pre-facelift thing rather than a vert thing?

ya. i think it is a pre-facelift thing. cus those fenders look like they would match a sideskirt which our 94-95 coupes dont have. if thats the case, then you could probably just get a sideskirt to cover it. can anyone confirm?

Dude, where is this junkyard!!! They have a black vert there!?!?! Details details!! Can you help me get some parts from them? I have a red driver side fender from a hatchback that I can trade you wink.gif .

Edit: For all the confusion, those are what convertible fenders from all years 95-99 look like. See how the shape of the bottom of the fender is made to bolt onto a flat surface? That is because the convertibles have a square tube for reinforcement that runs along the bottom of the car and is covered up by the side skirts. That is why all convertibles have side skirts.
