Ok. I did some work for a guy at an audio shop. He gave me a security system in lieu of payment. Its remote start, locks and security. How hard is it to install one of these? Just wondering.

depends how competent you are at soldering...and can read directions.
You can look up the schematic for your car here http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehic...ingdiagrams.asp Then just follow the directions on where to tap off of each wire...strip some insulation then wrap and solder your wires on to it. It is fairly simple you just have to take your time to read the instructions...and use a multimeter to double check the wires before you tie on. -------------------- ST205 Crew represent

The more time you take on the install the more effective it will be.
I took my drivers side fender off so I could hide the siren, making it harder to cut the wires. I ended up taking the dash almost completely apart to hide all the wires and hook the door locks up. I think it took me a full day to do it all. It helped that I bought the door lock wiring harness along with the alarm. Just had to plug that into the junction block by the drivers kick panel to get the keyless entry to work, no cutting and soldering wires. I also recently got a toyota security light from a corolla so the install looks factory (except for the blue led I put in it). |

they are pretty easy to install.
BUT running the wires and hiding things are the hardest and most time consuming part. |
