Hey!
Saw something in a Norwegian Magazine, and it was a new type of an electric supercharger. Their focus is mostly on reducing co2 emissions, but this can provide some improvements in performance too. Thought I should share this with you! ![]() VTES - Giving the Environment a Boost™ If this is not too expensive, it may be an option for many around! I will maybe take a look at it, too. There was no pricing on their site, so I will send them a mail to get some prices to the 7A-FE engine setup. So, discuss! Is this just like all other electric chargers, also bad quality? Honnestly the electric forced induction systems (EFIS) are not as bad as we claim- but the claims the sellers of EFIS; is absolute bullsh!t.
you will never gain massive hp/torq boosts with them. it has been tried over and over, the cheaper ones will help provide air flow- and (just like a SRI/CAI w/ the bigger canister air filter) it' allows the engine to "breath" a bit easier. you dont gain 25 hp with a SRI/CAI, and you wont do it with a EFIS But to make one that'll actualy provide enough PSI to warrant fuel upgrades to make real power isn't gunna happen. it's been tried, and the problem is that they use more power than they make. the goal is moar air; that's generated by electricity, that's generated by the alternator, thats driven by the belt, Off the crankshaft, spun by the engine, that's receiving the moar air. the alternator is put under higher stress; and the engine is having to work harder to generate the power to drive the EFIS, and in the end it's using more power to run the device than the device is making. this is why turbocharging is so popular, it utilizes the exhaust (something completely useless or "the waste" in the power-stream) to generate the moar air. but im sure that it's possible, i dont think this will be it though. look at it's power usage during accel and then look at it's only providing 1.45lbs/press. i'm just sayin... good find though, this may be the nicest EFIS yet -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!!
