the description explains it pretty well. I just finished swapping my fully built 2nd gen 3sgte and w/my foot on the gas i can keep the car running and it sounds good from 2k-6k but once i move toward idle it wants to die so I'm thinking its a vacuum issue.
1- timing should be good. cams are set to the 0 mark with the pully set to tdc and the dizzy is set in the middle
2- tps is set in the center, but i'm not sure if idle sensor or afm are correct...?
3- all fuel is good. stock injectors, fps, fuel rail and new walbro pump
4- egr deleted, throttle body is good, all gaskets and mechanics are good, including new spark plugs and wires. turbo is boosting pretty strong, though it will need a rebuild soon.
soooo.... ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated. including anyone will to call and chat w/my mechanic. whom i took it to because i was getting thoroughly frustrated.

Thanks for any advice you might have.

your timing is off. the crank pully should be on 0 and the the cams should be on 0. the 10 degrees BTDC is when the spark plug fires. not the initial timing marks.

my bad i wrote that wrong. timing is set correctly. cams set to hash marks on side engine cover and under valve cover and pulley hash mark is set to 0.

Vacuum leak. Check the connections between the AFM and the turbo.
