Lol, memories.

I remember when I first joined I did the same thing, and got reamed about using search....which you should =P

I have that exact header. Adds a bit of noise to a ST, bit louder at the exhaust end. Hard to hear if you already have a SRI or CAI. '

You can hear your valves clicking like crazy...that is if yours click.

Performance changes are certainly there as well. Some good, some bad. 2nd, 3rd opened up a ton nearing the end of the gear. Lost some take off, but that could be specific to my cellie. I assume from loss of back pressure? Only noticable when first taking off, then it breaths much better...throaty as they call it.

Edit: You will need to get your downpipe welded to the cat, or some other means. The downpipe also doesn't have the second sensor hole, this does not seem to be a problem if 94-95s, as I've had mine on for well over 5 months and hav't thrown a CEL. I assume with OBDII there is a bit more monitoring on that sensor..?

96+ I'd certainly get that other sensor plugged.

agreed for the search smile.gif but i as well know i have a thread about this exact header tongue.gif

I have a 94 and dont have the second o2 sensor hooked up and only throws a code if you are low on fuel and driving...well.. like a dick lol (flooring it) not sure why it does that, but other member have had it as well.

as for the fitment...well dont do it your self like i did. I talked to a shop and he told me they couldnt touch it because of the loss of the first cat (so its not technically legal) so i had to do it my self, and its a bit of a pain!
The downpipe ends up about a foot away from the cat, so you have to cut somewhere behind the cat and bring it to the downpipe, cut the nub off the downpipe and clamp it on with some exhaust sealant, and then you still need to extend the piping about a foot frown.gif. But if you plan to do it your self, I have already made everyyyy mistake so I could walk you through it and make it pretty simple as long as your some what mechanically inclined smile.gif

As far as power, im not sure there is much (technically speaking) but in the higher rpm's it definitely sounds like the gear can go further smile.gif you loose a bit of low towards first gear, but make up for it via a SRI or ►CAI◄ and the only thing the 7A has plenty of is low first smile.gif

GL with the install biggrin.gif
