I have recently purchased a new Toyota Celica 1995 SX it still has the same stock engine in it however i have been doing some research and i think i have come to the conclusion that the 3SGTE is one of the best engines for my car is this true?
If it is not possible to put into my car what do you recommend? If it is possible can you give me some advise and some stats on which is the best generation of engine to get? Thanks |

first, welcome to the site.
enjoy. 2nd, please browse thru the stickys here, there is alot of helpfull information in them that covers alot of the basics of swaps, and whats required. 3rd, browse thru some of the pages of the forced induction forum, there are alot of great build threads, including my own that cover all the details of a 3rd gen 3sgte swap into our cars. do you know what engine you currently have in your car? (im not 100% familiar with the badging and corresponding engines in all markets) if it is a 7afe, and you want to swap a 3sgte in, you will need to drill 2 holes in the right hand frame rail for the motor mount, and aquire a transmission that will bolt to the 3sgte (the stock 7afe tranny will not) again, all this information is covered in the stickys at the top of this forum, and in the forced induction forum. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
