I personally find the first one to be hideous... and the second one looks like a knock-off of the real TRD knob.
I made my own knob, so I can't really recommend one knob over another, but there is a TRD one that I like... http://cgi.ebay.com/New-TRD-Gear-Shift-Kno...=item2c57f78e1d -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I agree. The first one is fugly. If you are deciding between those two, definitely the second one. Myself, I've had RAZO carbon fiber/aluminum knob in my Celica for a while now. Together with short shifter it feels really good. This one: ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

I've always liked the OEM leather with red stitching shiftknob. Problem is its so expensive. I found a cheaper alternative on ebay though for about $20USD, Looks pretty good with a matching shift boot.
![]() Only things i dont like is how it has Momo embroided on it, when for that price it definately aint real momo, and its fairly lightweight. found an ebay link here This post has been edited by Dyran: Nov 7, 2010 - 4:35 PM -------------------- Speeding doesn't kill! It never has!

Where and how much. That's a nice one. £25 ($40.35) from the UK TRD dealer just to insure it is genuine, there are a few floating around on ebay but there are so many fakes on there thats why paid extra from the dealer -------------------- ![]() |

Had a weighted metal knob that had the set screws, was always hot as $hit, and came loose on me so i threw that in the garbage and got the leather trd knob, the longer one, and i love it, just wish it was a little heavier

I had the black isotta puma shifter knob in mine. Got bored of it and realized I like the stock one better. Still have it laying around somewhere if anyone wants to make an offer.

in the link it says toyota and 12mm thread thingy..so doesnt that mean it would fit for the celica?..idk haha The 12mm "Nylon adapter" is like a rubber piece that slips over your threaded shift stick, then the actual knob goes over that adaptor and then it uses small pointed studs that get screwed in and grip onto the rubber adaptor to hold the knob in place. I think most universal aftermarket shift knobs work this way, All the ones I've ever used have. It works, kind of ... I found our shift sticks get fatter than 12mm after the thread finishes, so the adaptor cant slide all the way down, so then your new shifter sits higher than your stock knob. This could vary depending on the knob style though, happened to be the case with mine though, I found a way around it though. -------------------- Speeding doesn't kill! It never has!
