im having some worries on high revving for the S54 tranny.
currently im revving to 5K RPM only scared to go to 7K RPM as its a stock tranny since it comes with stock Clutch plate. is it safe to go, lets say 8K or even 9K RPM? Thx! ![]() This post has been edited by zeus83: Dec 21, 2010 - 10:30 AM |

Ur stock engine isn't going to be able to rev up to 9k. Now as for the trans being able to hold. Of course it can. Now are you launching at 5k? If u are stock clutch won't hold up too long

currently im limiting the shift speed for each gear as follows:
1st Gear: 25Mph 2nd: 50mph 3rd: 70mph 4th: 90mph 5th: ~120mph is possible to go up to 100mph for 3rd gear? rpm will be around 5.5K+ or i will risk burning the clutch plate? feedback appreciated! |

On the other hand, a 3S-GTE clutch can handle alot of abuse
