Put new rotors and pads but missing the shims on the top wondering if that's why when I brake they feel funny. Cant go to junk yard today, would corolla or camry match the gt shim ??

The shims are just there to help prevent any squealing noise. The brakes should feel the same with or without the shims.

oh okay well i put new shims on and got rid of that squeeling but they just dont feel right. i dont know how to explain it tho. like its not grabbing and when i let off i can literally fell them let off, if that makes any sense

maybe you got some air into your brakelines. try bleeding them.

found out taht the cv axle was broke in half, cant believe i was still able to drive around on it.

describe broke in half? like the joints were disconnected or the shaft was actually broke?

just fixed it today, just drove it, brakes on passenger side are still i guess "jerky" i can feel them catch after i press the brakes... any ideas/
