after parking the car on a drive way (which is perfectly flat), i notice my car tilting more towards the driver side...is this normal? i check and measure front tire gap to fenders going all the way down on all sides and they're the same, yet it still tilts.
![]() *i had an alignment done to it already. This post has been edited by chacha: Apr 4, 2011 - 2:45 PM |

Driveway not as flat as imagined?
Looks like its leaning at the passender side...something is wrong, mine doesn't lean. Got a tire to blown up? /shrug This post has been edited by rave2n: Apr 4, 2011 - 3:48 PM |

your car is perfectly fine. your garage is the problem, it is tilted majorly to one side lol i put it in photoshop and used the rulers and your car is as even as....well it's even to say the least, but check your garage because since those lines are off, it will throw you off.

If your car does tilt, I suspect bad struts or springs. If you think about it, the weight of the driver is always on that side of the car and you don't always have a passenger, so your driver side struts tend to blow more, or so I've been told. But if you measured from the fenders to the ground and it matches up and Mike used Photoshop and measured, it's probably just an optical illusion.

Flat concrete outdoor pads like that are usually tilted to allow for water drainage. Go inside the garage and get out and look again and i bet it'll be flat.

i don't think my coilovers are bad (got them less than a year ago), but just checking with other members if that was the case.
i guess a little tilt won't hurt. This post has been edited by chacha: Apr 7, 2011 - 11:30 AM |

it tilts to the left from continuous daily driving by yourself, think about it you get in and out of the car on the driver side way more times than you do on the passenger side hehe I don't know jus saying.

NO
Mine also tilts to that side too and mines RHD. It only happened after installing coilovers or atleast noticeably. Doesn't make sense either since the spare tyre is closer to the right. Perhaps its a design imperfection that only shows up when its lowered, and masked by being propped up really high. -------------------- Mike W

Driveway looks flat, car looks flat, garage door looks crooked. Follow the top line of the garage it looks like it curves in relation to the top of the pic. Thinking your car is leaning is probably some kind of optical illusion. Like the guy said earlier put a level on it and then on the ground and compare. Looks fine in the pic.

According the lines on the door its flat. The lines enter and come out on the same point of the car on both sides.

Maybe has to do with lots of negative camber in the back? (And uneven)
All I know is nomatter where I park i can fit my fingers between tyre and guard on the right side, but cant fit on the left side. Coilovers were adjusted even with a caliper. Maybe the coilovers themselves are uneven??? They are BC. This was never noticeable at factory height -------------------- Mike W

According the lines on the door its flat. The lines enter and come out on the same point of the car on both sides. No they don't. The purpleish pink lines are perfectly straight in photoshop. You might be just about a quarter inch off on the right side of the car, but if you didn't place the camera on a tripod and level it, then it could be the image that is actually off.

wow...many thanks....so if you feel like you got a tilt...try to fix it to your best so it doesn't mess up the tires...and if it tilts...it can't be helped; think that's the bottom line?

On alignment I got 3 deg negative camber left rear and 2 deg negative right rear, that might be why mine tilts, but theres no factory adjustment on mine, there should be on you guys cars though

I remember the rear-most bottom swingarms of my old SS-III being adjustable arms with a big long lengthening/shortening nut in the middle??? is that not for camber?? or do you guys not have that?

we have that, but that's for toe in / tow out adjustment, that's the only adjustment we have on the rear ( from factory ) to adjust camber I installed camber bolts on the back, or you can also use camber plates, but those will require some grinding.
