what does the N2 stand for on my caldina engine does anyone really know ?

I don;t recall seeing that, I'll have a look down the side of my engine when I'm at my car next.

Doubt it means anything significant, Gen 4 is it?

Its nothing important. I think it relates to the production year of the engine. On some 2nd gens it says PO or P1.
