my car doesnt really have paint, i got it primered and never got the funds ready for real paint job.

after my engine replacement, i got alot of grease marks and 'black' marks on the front end of the car?

how do i clean this, i tryed the ussual, car wash(es), alot of washing fluid, soap and dawn dishwasher even lol

its not really comming off, i tried the concrete engine degreaser on some part it took it off, but then weakening the primer too, so i dont want to damage the 'paint' i already have on

any suggestions?

the place i got it primed is telling me to use wet sandpaper, i really dont wanna do that since its gonna take it off permanently?

its PPG white primer if it makes a difference?

dawn dish soap and a scrub brush, wipe the whole car down with acetone before painting and re-prime it. ANY oils saturated into the primer when you spray are going to **** your paint job up.

Primer's designed to get paint to stick to it, so it's pretty porous and likes oils -- dish soap breaks down waxes and grease, which is why it's actually bad for paint (removes wax really well, but also pulls out a lot of the oil the paint needs to keep looking good).

Unfortunately, you are going to have a hard time removing grease from that primer. I'd suggest following up the dish detergent with a paint cleaner, and a sanding, as well as the suggested re-priming.

that primer is gone now. sorry, primer is not meat to be applied by itself. if you even decide to clean it, imagine what other impurities it could absorb and leave a poor piss paint job if you finish the job. sorry....

1500 is a finish sanding, not as a prep for paint...

03003 is a part number.

2000grit is like polish paper, you didnt really take much off, just added shine
