I know this has been covered a lot, and yes i did use the search and I found that OEM is the best way to go for spark plug wires.
Called up toyota and they want 140 bucks for them, but i've read that you guys are getting them relatively cheap in the states. So I'm wondering what's the next best thing to OEM wires? Is there anything that performs even close to OEM for a bit cheaper? -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

NGK? I have no idea of their performance compared to OEM, but I think they're about $40-ish on eBay.

Try 1sttoyotaparts.com
Ignition system, Cable set Camry, 2.2L, All List Price : $71.94 Your Price : $51.90 For some reason they're not listing the 2.2L for the celica. But they share the same wires. When I searched, I pulled up specs for a 96 Camry instead. If all else fails, PM LAGOS. He works at a dealership and can get us decent prices. -------------------- ~bloodMoney

Any idea how long it would take to ship to Canada? I'm just over the US/Can border.
I know this really isn't the best palce to ask, but it is the quickest way I can get an answer -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

I usually get my stuff within a few days, since you're in Canada, it shouldn't take much longer. I can't imagine that customs is going to scrutinize ignition leads too harshly.

Yea true. Thanks for the help.
If I go ahead and put new plugs in and run them with the old wires untill the new wires get here, there should be a problem correct? -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

It shouldn't affect the new plugs too much. It might gum them up a bit b/c of a lower spark intensity, but you should be alright.

Alternatively, you could have the items delivered to a receiving service just south of the border, save the time and exorbitant cost of cross-border shipping, and go pick them up yourself. Charge is usually only a couple of dollars for lightweight items such as wire sets.

For the cost of shipping/duty it would be probably the same cost as me to get to the service and back.
Its only good on shipping larger items like wheels etc. I was hoping to source something locally, shipping wasn't the problem it was the time line. But I think I'm just gunna have to either shell out the cash or wait a week and have them shipped. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

I would but everything around me is out of wires that will fit a celica.
They're not very common here, and we don't have atuozone, but the similar shops have nothing -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |
