Im interested in a good used TRD Shortshifter, with (preferred) or without the leather shift knob.

Thanks,
Brian

Agree with "Hector" I actually just did mine this past weekend and only took me half an hour with the 7th gen short shifter.

Thank you for the advice, but Im going to try to get a decent deal on the complete TRD assembly first. Otherwise I will do that.

Thanks,

have u guys ever used the megan shifter or the ark one? these are made out of billet steel, i have used the cheaper aluminum ones and have broken them twice already while racing on my honda, after i bought the skunk2 one and never looked back. since im in the proces of doing the 5speed swap on my 99gt i want a shorter one but dont want to repeat the same mistake. any suggestions?

7th Gen is an option, but I wouldn't compare it to the TRD assembly. TRD is the whole assembly and is a "quick shift kit" not just a shorter shifter..

I've had the TRD assembly for a couple years now and I loooove it.

The 7gc short shifter isn't just a shorter shifter. The section above the pivot point is shorter and the section below the pivot point is longer, completely changing the fulcrum point.
