Anyone else?

I used to post on a forum called TheAutobahn.com before it went downhill. It was about Porsche and other German car makes.

I've always had a fascination with this history of Porsche and the technology of a rear-engine car. The boxer engine also fascinates me, it has a sound like no other.

I've been around them my whole life so naturally I'm in love with them. My first car is/was a 72 914. Once I finish up my schooling and get settled down I want to acquire a pre smog 911.

Big Porsche fan here. Here's my 6GC (pre JDM tails and lowering) sharing the garage with my mate's Cayman S.

I've done a few track days with Porsche, including the Porsche Sport Driving School.

Here's me getting out of the GT3 after a few laps. That is an awesome car on the track! biggrin.gif

Awesome. I'd like to own a Porsche of my own. I've been looking for the right one for quite some time.

Is it odd that we all like Porsche and all own red Celicas? Ha...

I'm incredibly jealous that you got to drive a gt3. i'd love to get the chance to rip around some of my local tracks(Laguna Seca, Infineon, thunderhill). Instead I attend track days in my civic...

I`d love a Porsche 917. Theres a kit car version available in the US which looks spot on....expensive though. I`ll have to start saving now, maybe by the time I retire I `ll be able to afford one.

The 917 was so badass...way fast. There was a guy on TheAutobahn.com that had two 917s and a 956 too I think.

I hope the front looks stock. That'd be a hilarious surprise when this thing blows past. "Your twin turbos are showing"

Not going to lie, this thing looks freaking mean.

^^^ Seems like that would be a bit more difficult with the mid engine. Unless they are driving in reverse through a large puddle lol

It's an awesome car, especially on the track where it belongs. I actually enjoyed the 997 Turbo more than the GT3. The power is insane, it launches you out of the corners like nothing else!

That's interesting. I'm used to having to make things work with little power(focusing more on the driving line), but the 997 does appeal to me. Either that or a GT2=new cars of my dream!

I look at it this way, I love modifying whatever vehicles I own. I tend to hate people that want there car to be exactly how a vehicle came from the factory and are afraid to use it. Then I look at these and go damn that's sick, but there's something that I don't like and can't identity it.

With that said if I saw one in person I'd be all over it like a fly on s&*t!

Why would he drive it in the rain? It's a track car or a dry runner. Why do you hate so much?

Word.

And if his rooster tail happened to hydrolock his motor, when he happened to be driving in the rain you know what he'd do? Rebuild it, because he is WINNING!!! So what's the point of hating...
