BUT which one.. there is a million?? which is the best?? also for cleaning the throttle body what can i use?? there is some kind of aresol spray.. will it work?? also i was lookin around today and i saw octane boost like racing formula and stuff?? does that stuff really work. iam just curious... Well, I think if you're gonna clean your injectors, just toss some Sea Foam in the tank.

For fuel injectors I would suggest Techron.

Or BG (you have to get this at an authorized service station). Check out www.bgprod.com for more information.

The normal "Gumout" brand spray fuel sys cleaner is as good as most any. or whatever they have on the shelf. The Techron stuff is good for putting in the fuel tank. Amsoil also has both an additive (PI) and a good spray cleaner (PowerFoam), just did both to mine last week.
I'd stay away from the octane boosters unless you have done some mods to raise the compression or other stuff to cause you to need it. It really wont help a stock car, and can make it run worse.

Well, I think if you're gonna clean your injectors, just toss some Sea Foam in the tank.

Buy two cans of seafoam. Add a quarter can to oil, the rest to the fuel. Then the extra can can be used for tons of other little things, just read the bottle. That stuff is magic in a can! Just remember you will experience a lot of white smoke from your exhaust, but this just tells you it's working.

Sorry man, but you're wrong. Adding an octane booster to any type of pump fuel will never hurt an engine, unless you add a crapload and you're running your car just off of octane booster. As long as you follow the directions, you won't hurt your engine or hinder performance. Not on pump fuel anyway. Octane boosters bump up octane by 7-10 points. This means .7 to 1 octane. So even if you load your car on 93 octane...and pour this in, you will only be running at 94 octane tops. Even if you get 98 octane...then 99 tops is what you get from octane booster. Higher octane fuel actually helps with engine efficiency and will help prevent knocking in your engine. This is why you add higher octane fuel when you use nitrous, forced induction, or when retarding your timing. Trust me, higher octane fuel won't hurt your car.

I must have added too much, this was in my dunebuggy, it ran like crap under load til I diluted it by 75% by refilling the tank again. so much for directions...

ahh i went to day and i looked at the some stuff called Chevron?? it said "Fuel injector cleaner" then in small print under it said with Techron Additive... Is that the stuff that is good?? its was like 3 or 4 bucks a bottle..... or is it this stuff that had a Big label that says Techron... its like 10 bucks and its a Fuel System Cleaner, not just an injector cleaner. What is the one you guys are talking about?? just the injector cleaner or the Fuel System Cleaner? heres a pic..

So is the one you guys like and use the 10 dollar one and it says Techron in big letters and its for the whole Fuel System or is it the 4 dollar one and it just cleans the injectors and it says Techron in small letters??

Thanx

Yes, use the $10 bottle it works great but idk where you live but I know that you can get it much cheaper, I just bought 2 bottles at $3.49/bottle. They were on closeout at a Sears Hardware store.

what should i use to clean the throttle body???

at my work we use some stuff called choke cleaner (i dont know the brand, but its a red and white can with a red cap). all you need is that and a wire brush. just remember to clean the throttle body before you change out the plugs (the chemicals are bad for them and can even make it not run untill you clean the plugs).

BTW, be careful not to use too much injector cleaner because i have seen that stuff eat up the fuel rail linings and clog the injectors.
